Don't Just Follow Your Dream, Follow Jesus.

“If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me” (Matthew 16:24, ESV).

Jesus didn't say "follow Christians" He said "follow me". (John 10:27-29)

Follow Jesus. Go out into the world and make disciples, baptizing them in his name.

It’s very simple, when you keep it simple.

Jesus how do I serve you today? How do I serve the people around me today? it takes the need for all this mental striving and strategizing out of it. There still must be planning and strategy and wisdom and prayerful attention. But you know, we were made to give glory, never to take it, and only you can know when that’s happening. you can go through life, and people will think you are humble and amazing but inside you know that you are ferreting some of that glory away for yourself and it’s slowly poisoning you.

So we must be a people of God. Who learn to give, give, give, give the glory. otherwise it will destroy you.

Why Should you follow Jesus

As we age, the challenges of life can make us lose sight of what is really important. The gospel of Jesus Christ is there to help us to become more like Jesus while still being ourselves and in a very different circumstance than that of the first century.

Follow Jesus, because he is everything you have ever wanted. He will fulfill your wildest dreams and set you free.

The more your follow Jesus, the less reaction you will have from others. Leading with love is what Jesus taught and it is what he wants for you. Living a life of following Jesus is an amazing way to live!

Don't just follow your dreams, Follow Jesus. It's important to do this because Jesus said to follow after Him because He will always be with you and give you everything that He has for it is faith.

What are the benefit of following Jesus

As identified in Psalm 103:1-12, some of the amazing benefits of choosing to follow Jesus include:

  1. He forgives your sins and offers you eternal life

  2. He redeems your life from the pit, crowns you with love and compassion, and restores your soul

  3. He satisfies your desires with good things (His blessings are tailor-made for you)

  4. He does not treat you as you deserve to be treated (based on your sins) or repay you according to your iniquities (even though your sins separate you from Him for eternity)

  5. He is patient with you and loves you greatly (His love never gives up on you)

  6. He removes your transgressions as far as the east is from the west

  7. He has compassion on you (just as a father has compassion on his children) and adopts you into His family and kingdom

How can you know Jesus

Jesus explained that those who have been physically born must also be spiritually born.

“Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.” John 3:3 (NIV).

When you’re spiritually born, you’ll have a new and more abundant life – as Jesus proclaimed.

“I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” John 10:10 (NIV).

You can have a relationship with God by accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.

All you need to do is:

  • Ask Jesus to forgive you for your sins and save you from eternal separation from God

  • Accept His work and death on the cross as payment for your sins

  • Thank Him for providing a way back to God

  • Ask Him to give you the strength, wisdom, and determination to walk in the center of God’s will and live for Him

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16 (NIV)

Always keep the big picture in mind.

God wants you to know Him.

Jesus wants you to follow Him.
